I am from Arlee, Montana and my
interests include watching and playing organized sports such as football and
baseball. I also enjoy getting out and enjoying the outdoors by taking camping
and backpacking trips. I chose to pursue a career in medicine because the
processes of the human body have always fascinated me and I wanted work in a
field where I could use that knowledge to help improve other people’s lives.
Currently, I am not fully decided on the specialty I want to choose, but I am
thinking about Family Medicine because I like the idea of being able to work in
a small town setting and want to be able to develop a long-term relationship
with my patients. CURA intrigued me because it is similar to a few service
trips I have been involved with in the past. I have gone to Honduras and Haiti
for week long trips and I wanted to participate in a trip where I could
experience an entirely new culture and area in the world.
