I am originally from San Jose, Ca, but I have lived in several different places across the United States. I love to be involved with sports, whether it is playing them or watching them. I played lacrosse throughout high school and college and now try to stay active through intramural sports.  As I become older traveling has been more of a priority for me, but it is no longer just about going places to see things. Now it is more about the people and their cultures. I want to visit places so that I can become immersed in the day to day of another culture. Yet, as I learn more about medicine I want to not only understand someone else’s culture, I want to be able to help improve their life in any way I can. This trip will allow me to give back for all the good I have received in life and hopefully it can be passed on to another. Project CURA not only gives me the chance to help influence someone else’s life but it gives me the chance to find out more about myself.
